Hyde is partial to pretty girls, of whom there are many in the city. One day, after admiring the local beauties (it was in the street), he felt bad. Before he knew it, he had fainted and fell right in front of a rich carriage. He was lucky. Miss Mia and her maidservant Preol (they are the ones in the cart) pick Hyde up and place him in “safe hands”, which belong to the priestess Manati. The mistress and maid saw the mark left on Hyde’s arm by demons, and realized that the boy was cursed. So it’s no surprise that our hero woke up not in a hospital bed, but in the local temple.
